Jill Valentine. It’s a strange thing to say, considering I’ve never battled zombies or worked for the government or fired a rocket launcher at a Tyrant, but I have watched my mom play enough Resident Evil games to realize her character and personality traits are very similar to mine. I’m pretty perceptive and while I trust a lot of people and strangers, for the most part, I still am cautious of their true intentions. I can also be pretty spiteful when somebody crosses my path in the wrong way by either deceiving me or betraying me. I wish I was a little bit more bad-ass like Jill, but alas, I feel that is unreachable when there is no zombie outbreak going on outside.
That is all.
Or really rare; Super Princess Peach. Because this game is hard to find, it is pretty underrated. People have sometimes never heard of it and that’s strange, considering it’s fucking Peach, ya know, Mario’s hoe? Anyways, this game plays like any traditional Mario side-screen scroller except (you guessed it) you play as Princess Peach trying to save Mario. It’s like a feminist’s dream come true. You have to “channel emotions” in order to do certain things like fly or burn bridges. You also have an umbrella that you can upgrade with powers that you can use over and over again in the game. Anyways, I have been playing it since I got it for pretty cheap at Bookmans and it is more fun than the other Mario side-scrollers, in my opinion. So if you are a chick or a dude, play it.
I know that L.A. Noire is a relatively new game and it hasn’t really had the chance to have a lasting effect on modern culture like timeless characters, ie; Link/Mario, but I was still moved by many of the character’s performances, and it wasn’t just the motion capture technology that made it that way. In particular, I freaking had it for Jack Kelso. Now, I can’t really explain why because the main reason why I like him includes spoilers, so SPOILER ALERT
I have a job interview next week.
My deluxe Catherine is a defect and must wait to hear back from Atlus before I can even play it :’(
The hotel we stayed at in San Diego still hasn’t charged me for the stay. I’m talking $713 that’s just sitting in my account that I can’t touch because of this. There’s no pending charge and I’m having an inner struggle over if I should call or let it be.
From what I can remember, I have to say it was Pokemon Blue and Red. I got both at the same time and played both of them at the same time. I had a GameBoy that was once a friends before I turned 8 and got a sweet lime green GameBoy Color and Pokemon:Yellow from my mom.
Fast forward 11 years and I still have them. Well, except the first GameBoy. But Limey is still in my handheld drawer.

LIKE A BOSS
Back at the hotel after day one of COMIC CON.
Tired as hell, and I have a growing blister on my foot but it was totally worth it. Scored some pretty cewl things down at the exhibit hall and then sat for three hours in the same pannel room and learned about Flashpoint and the “New 52” (including my favorite return, Deathstroke) and then got to listen to a mildly drunk and hillarious Q&A with Grant Morrison.
Oh, and I got 78 street passes before my 3DS died.
So far, awesome.
Tomorrow; VENTURE BROS.
